We are seeking a Technical Sales Manager – Below Ground to join the regional sales team. Reporting to the Regional Sales Director (South), this role focuses on driving specification sales, converting project opportunities into orders, and expanding Wavin’s presence within below-ground product markets.
The successful candidate will manage key end-user and merchant relationships, develop project pipelines, and actively promote Wavin’s below-ground product portfolio across commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects.
This role covers Hampshire, Wiltshire, Southampton, and Portsmouth, and candidates should ideally live within the territory.
Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs
Secure product specifications and convert opportunities into confirmed orders
Develop and manage a strong project pipeline
Build and maintain relationships with specifiers, contractors, merchants, and end users
Deliver CPD seminars, BIM engagement, and product training
Actively use CRM systems to log activities, projects, and forecasts
Identify and convert new distribution branches and stockists
Support new product launches and marketing initiatives
Ensure timely submission of reports, KPIs, and management information
Promote Wavin’s brand and values across all customer interactions
Experience in specification sales within construction or building products
Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
Proven ability to manage and convert sales pipelines
Confident communicator with excellent presentation skills
Proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven
Experience using CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred)
Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills
GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English (minimum Grade C)
Degree in a relevant business or technical discipline (desirable)
Full UK driving licence required
