Registered Nurse (Days) – Care Home Full Time

Location: Tenterden House Care Home, Lye Lane, St Albans, AL2 3TN
Salary: £20.40 – £22.54 per hour
Contract: Full Time – 48 hours per week (4 x 12-hour day shifts)

About the Role

Talents Quest is recruiting a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) for a well-established Bupa Care Home in St Albans. This is a day shift nursing role offering excellent pay, long-term stability, and a strong focus on person-centred care.

As a Registered Nurse, you will play a key clinical leadership role, ensuring residents receive the highest standard of physical, emotional, and social care while supporting and guiding the wider care team.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care to residents

• Take responsibility for residents’ overall wellbeing and clinical outcomes

• Carry out comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualised care plans

• Administer, manage, and order medication in line with NMC and care home policies

• Monitor clinical practices to ensure compliance with CQC standards, policies, and legislation

• Provide clinical leadership, coaching, and ongoing support to care staff

• Maintain accurate clinical records and effective handovers

• Build strong, trusting relationships with residents and their families

• Support continuous improvement and best practice across the care home

Skills & Qualifications Required

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN (RGN, RMN, or RNLD)

• Previous experience working in a care home or clinical setting

• Strong understanding of CQC regulations and safeguarding standards

• Confident providing clinical guidance and managing care teams

• Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills

• Compassionate, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality care
