Description

Talents Quest is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Manager – Nursing Care Home to join our team in Kenley. This leadership role is responsible for supporting the Home Manager in the day-to-day operations of the nursing home while ensuring the delivery of exceptional, person-centred care.

The successful candidate will help manage staff, maintain regulatory compliance, support residents' wellbeing, and contribute to a positive and professional care environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Home Manager in the daily management of the nursing care home.
Supervise, mentor, and support care staff to deliver outstanding care.
Ensure high standards of person-centred care for all residents.
Monitor compliance with healthcare regulations, safeguarding, and health & safety policies.
Assist with staff recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance management.
Maintain accurate care records, reports, and operational documentation.
Build positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
Promote continuous improvement and a positive workplace culture.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a senior care, deputy manager, or assistant manager role within a nursing or residential care home.
  • Qualification in Health & Social Care, Nursing, or a related field is desirable.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good understanding of CQC standards, safeguarding, and care regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and make informed decisions.
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
