Personal Assistant

Description

Talents Quest is seeking a caring, reliable, and compassionate Personal Assistant to provide high-quality support to an individual in Eaglesfield, Dumfries and Galloway. The successful candidate will assist with daily living activities, encourage independence, and provide companionship while ensuring the individual's comfort, dignity, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide personal care and support with daily living activities.
Assist with meal preparation and light household tasks.
Offer medication reminders and wellbeing support.
Accompany the client to appointments or community activities if required.
Build a positive and respectful relationship with the client.
Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding procedures.
Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment.
Work flexibly according to the client's support needs.

Requirements

• Previous experience in personal care, home care, or support work is preferred but not essential.
• Caring, patient, and trustworthy personality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities effectively.
• Basic understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom.
• Flexible availability, including weekends if required.
• Valid UK driving licence is desirable.
