Description

Talents Quest is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide high-quality, person-centred care to individuals in Bishop Auckland. The successful candidate will support clients with daily living activities, personal care, mobility, and emotional wellbeing while promoting independence and dignity.

This role offers flexible employment options, including Full-Time, Part-Time, and Zero Hours Contracts, with opportunities to work day shifts, night shifts, and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene assistance.
Assist clients with mobility and transfers using appropriate techniques and equipment.
Support with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration.
Assist with medication reminders and monitor client wellbeing.
Provide companionship and emotional support.
Maintain accurate care records and promptly report any concerns.
Follow safeguarding, infection control, and health & safety procedures.
Work flexible shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays as required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in personal care, healthcare, or support work is preferred but not essential.
  • Caring, compassionate, and patient approach to delivering care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to work day shifts, night shifts, weekends, and zero-hours schedules.
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom.
  • Commitment to delivering safe and high-quality person-centred care.
