Social Care Assistant

Description

Talents Quest is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Social Care Assistant to join our care team in Bearsden, Glasgow. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals, helping them maintain independence, dignity, and an improved quality of life.

This role involves working a rotating shift pattern, including day and night shifts, while ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and comfort of those receiving care.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver person-centred care and support tailored to individual needs.
Assist with personal care, mobility, and daily living activities.
Support individuals with meal preparation and medication reminders.
Encourage independence, social inclusion, and participation in community activities.
Maintain accurate care records and report any changes in health or wellbeing.
Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and infection control procedures.
Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, families, and colleagues.
Provide high-quality care during day, night, and rotating shifts.

Requirements

• Previous experience in social care, healthcare, or support work is preferred but not essential.
• Caring, compassionate, and professional attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexible to work rotating shifts, including night shifts.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional person-centred care.
